    SMARTECH is a growing IT service provider connecting certified IT personnel with multiple major clients in the industry. We are looking for reliable and experienced IT service technicians for a project in Houston, TX. We will be making multiplehires for this position.

    Expected Project Duration: 3- 4weeks

    Start Date: Monday August 6, 2018

    Project Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am -5 pm

    **Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years IT experience and must have or be willing to obtain TWIC Certification before the project begins.

    Responsibilities

    • Build and deploy approximately 80 laptops to users at customer site.
    • Deploy approximately 180 thin client devices to users at customer site.
    • Install Windows 10 image and softwares (Desktop & Laptop).
    • Enable McAfee Encryption (Laptop only).
    • Update ServiceNow records for all systems.
    • Maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress.
    • Insure customer satisfaction throughout.

    Qualifications

     

    *Required Qualifications:

    • Must have experience/knowledge building/deploying laptops and desktops.
    • Must have prior field or site-project experience..
    • Must be willing to have or be willing to obtain TWIC Certification before the project begins.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
    • Must be a local candidate and be available to begin project August 6, 2018.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Must take and pass a comprehensive background check to include 7 year criminal history.
    • Must be able to carry and/or lift tools, kits or parts of up to 50-75 lbs.

    *Must have ONE of the following basic qualifications:

    • A+ Certification
    • 2 year (or greater) degree in electronics or computer technology.
    • High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of PC hardware repair experience in a customer field environment.
    • Previous military experience in an electronics related field.
